Auroran Requistions

The inhabitants of Ren are notable for their ingenuity, but they remain a technologically primitive planet when compared to the rest of galactic society. Although that is quickly changing, it does not help the present situation of the Imperial Garrison on Ren. Outnumbered, in a prolonged conflict, and without any hope of resupply in the near future, the mechanics and scientists on Ren have had to make due with with what they have on hand. Concurrently, the pressures of warfare and isolation have begun to take their toll on the troopers, leading to cases of individualism that is not normally seen in Imperial ranks.

Auroran gear is thus both unique and regulated. Below is the gear available for requisition and its appropriate grade level:

Grade 1 – Grade 1 requisitions are simple and/or the staple items for the Imperial Forces on Ren. Items such as these are monitored, but also relatively easy to acquire.

Weapons
- Any of the basic weapons (blaster rifles, pistols, for example) are available at this level.
- Thermal Detonator

Weapon Mods
Auto-Scope: This scope utilizes relatively simple optics technology to aid its user in longer distance shots, without impairing the ability to aim at closer range. Halve all penalties for shots fired beyond maximum range of the weapon.

Stun Enhancement: With a little work and some minor installments, the energy output of your weapon’s stun function is increased. Add 1 die whenever you make a stun attack.

Armor Mods

Grade 2 – Grade 2 requisitions are more advanced and, consequently, utilize rarer materials. Units that are on special tasks or have proven themselves useful are easy to distinguish because they carry this equipment.

Vibro-Bayonet: Bayonets are basic and common across primitive societies and even with some more modern, non-Imperial forces. However, the standard Imperial rifle was not designed for the use of such technology. Sometimes, however, Imperial forces have found it beneficial to adopt this technology, such as in urban warfare or in combat against primitives. Blaster Riles and Heavy Blaster Rifles can be modified with vibro-blade, allowing melee action without swapping weapons. Additionally, the user gains the ability to make attacks of opportunity in melee. Heavy Blaster Rifles gain an additional +2 to attack rolls when they charge with the bayonet.

Armor Mods

Grade 3 – Grade 3 requisitions are the rarest items available to the Ren, being rare within the greater Empire itself. Very few troopers are equipped with these items, and those that do are typically Aurorans.

Weapons

Weapon Mods
Sniper Fittings: Elite operatives across the galaxy need to operate with limited resources and space. The ability to transform a blaster-rifle into a longer-range weapon is one of those valuable tools. A handful of agents on Ren use them.
– It takes a full round action to transform a weapon to its sniper mode.
– Only a single attack may be made with the weapon per a round, regardless of feats or abilities
– 4d8 damage. >30 yards +5 to attack, <30 yards -5 to attack
– 800 yard range (penalties after)

Armor
Scout Trooper Armor: Scout troopers are trained to be able to work independent of Imperial forces, acting as the eyes and ears of the main Imperial forces, engaging in guerilla warfare, or even acting as assassins in rare cases. Consequently, their armor is lighter, but also designed to reflect this focus

Armor Mods

Experimental – While there are relatively few Imperials on the planet, their numbers are still in the thousands, and spread out across the entire northern section of the planet in various bases. Thus, occasionally, units and squads that few have seen before arrive. Rumor has it that some of these squads have been equipped with technology that is altogether foreign to the Imperial arsenal.
